Doorways

Doorways serves a diverse population at the intersection of poverty, homelessness, and illness from HIV/AIDS. They support people on their journey to a more self-directed life, removing disenfranchisement, inequality, and isolation through housing programs and empowerment support that provide the stabilization needed to successfully manage an HIV medical regimen.

Employment Connection

Employment Connection breaks down barriers to self-sufficiency for individuals with limited opportunities including the homeless, ex-offenders, U.S. veterans, high school dropouts, women on welfare, and at-risk youth. Offering more than just a job, Employment Connection provides valuable resources, training, and support to inspire and empower clients to change their circumstances and become employed.

International Institute of Metropolitan St. Louis

The International Institute of St. Louis is our community’s immigrant service and information hub. Their programs and services for immigrants, their families, and the wider community are locally and nationally acclaimed, The Institute connects new arrivals with first-touch services and resources, engages foreign-born and the wider community, and builds a more inclusive community.

NAMI St. Louis

NAMI St. Louis is an organization of families, friends, and individuals whose lives have been affected by mental illness. They work to promote the development of community mental health programs and services, change public attitudes about mental health conditions, improve access to services and increase opportunities for recovery.

Operation Food Search

Operation Food Search is a hunger relief organization that provides free food, nutrition education and innovative programs proven to reduce food insecurity. With a strategic focus aimed at ending childhood hunger, OFS empowers families and increases access to healthy and affordable food.

Paraquad

Paraquad champions equity and independence for people with disabilities through services, partnerships, education, and advocacy. They work with people of all ages – from children who might have a disability to senior citizens needing special care. Paraquad provides services to more than 2,000 people with a wide variety of disabilities in the St. Louis region.

Ready Readers

Ready Readers expands literacy for young children in low-income communities through high-quality books, strong relationships, and literacy related experiences. Their service driven team demonstrates the joy in learning through its core of exuberant volunteers who bring books to life when reading aloud.

St. Louis Arc

St. Louis Arc provides a lifetime of high-quality services, family support, and advocacy to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The provide individualized services that are designed to maximize choice and to support people as they build quality lives in the St. Louis community.

VOYCE

VOYCE helps to ensure a quality life for people living on the long-term care continuum. They educate and empower individuals and their families by illuminating choices for long-term care, providing a voice to residents, giving compassionate comforting support, and building relationships with caregivers and the community. VOYCE programs tackle obstacles to quality long-term care and ensure our community has the resources they need.
